Tropical Forests after CopenhagenAlthough the nearly 200 countries participating in the December 2009 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations in Copenhagen failed to agree on a legally binding treaty to reduce global warming emissions, they did make important progress in one area: a set of policies referred to as “REDD plus.”
