The Forest Justice campaign is working with young people to have an impact on reducing tropical deforestation at the local, national and international levels. There are many things you can do to help stop tropical deforestation and to support forest communities.
Get involved! You have the power to influence postitive change when it comes to products that are available for sale in the United States. Organize your community members to ask major brands to make more informed decisions about the forest impacts of their supply chains.
Write companies that sell beef and leather products, including frozen and processed foods, shoes, apparel and accessories and ask them to adopt a Zero Deforestation Policy for their supply chains.

Protect Forests In Congress
Forest Justice is working with student groups to make sure our elected officials know that we expect them to consider the world’s remaining forests when they are shaping climate policies. Get involved and let your congressperson know that you expect them to help protect tropical forests by passing climate policy that includes reliable funding for tropical forest protection.
Protect Forests Internationally
This past December in Copenhagen, President Obama pledged $1 billion over the next three years to developing countries. Funding like this will help establist programs like REDD+ and help protect the world’s remaining tropical forests. Contact senator and ask him/her to make sure there is funding for international forest conservation programs in U.S. climate legislation.
